Downtown La Porte Events is a volunteer-run organization whose mission is to drive economic vitality in downtown La Porte by showcasing our city as a destination for culture and commerce.
Every event is designed to bring foot traffic to the shops and restaurants that make downtown worth walking for.

From summer evenings to winter traditions, downtown events keep the community coming back again and again.
For years, downtown’s best-loved events were run by different groups, in different ways, with different rules. A vendor might apply three ways for three events. A sponsor never quite knew who to call. Great events happened, but they happened in isolation, and some years they didn’t happen at all.
Downtown La Porte Events was formed to fix that. We brought the downtown event calendar under one organization with one set of standards: one application, one point of contact, one team accountable for making each event happen well and happen again next year.
The result is a process that vendors and sponsors can navigate, and a downtown that keeps building on the year before.
